(The Hill) -- A new study analyzing Zillow data has found that the monthly median sale price of a house last year was over $500,000 in Utah, California and Colorado — and over a staggering $800,000 in Hawaii.The study, conducted by Studio City realtors, found that Hawaii clocked in as the most expensive state in the U.S. for homebuyers. On the island, the average home price was a staggering $805,775 — hundreds of thousands of dollars more than the cheapest state on the list. Studio City realtor Tony Mariotti noted that market turbulence has contributed to a “significant increase” in house prices across the U.S.Home prices went up nationwide in February after months of declines, amid low inventory and a small uptick in demand, and experts have said they expect affordability will continue to be a problem for prospective homebuyers in the months ahead. In Central Texas, the debilitating disease isn’t holding back 71-year-old Felix Pompa.The Austin-based musician is giving the gift of music to those in hospice care with terminal illnesses."I’ve been playing guitar all my life,” Pompa said. “Played in big bands, small bands and I've played with a lot of people."Back in the 1970s, the U.S. Army veteran avoided being deployed to the Vietnam War because his musical talent helped him a gig in the military, as a chaplain's assistant."I was very lucky with my music,” Pompa said. “It got me through it.”Nowadays, he’s volunteering his time serenading seniors."The most rewarding thing that I have done is volunteered my music and time to the people that need it most,” he said.Pompa volunteers with Blue Water Homecare and Hospice. AUSTIN (Texas Tribune) — Two of the eight Trump supporters accused of participating in a “politically-motivated conspiracy” by closely following, honking at and slowing down a campaign bus for President Joe Biden on a Texas highway in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election have settled with former state Sen. ST. LOUIS -- Yesterday afternoon, in the middle of the busy downtown area, a person on a skateboard was gunned down. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, was a 30-year-old frequent skateboarder in Kiener Plaza. Police have eyewitness accounts of the incident, but there is no description of the suspect who fled the scene. Now, the police are using their real-time crime center surveillance cameras to try and find the killer. This is the 46th homicide that St. Louis Metro Police have investigated this year.
